Job Description – Manager – MEP (Plumbing & Firefighting)

Project: Commercial IT Park
Experience: 8–12 Years
Qualification: BE/B.Tech – Mechanical / Civil Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage plumbing and firefighting MEP works for commercial IT Park projects.

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, architects, and internal project teams.

  • Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical submittals.

  • Monitor installation of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, sewage, storm water, and related services.

  • Manage firefighting systems including fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump room, fire tanks, and fire suppression systems.

  • Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

  • Monitor contractor performance, manpower, material availability, and work progress.

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP teams for proper service integration.

  • Ensure testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of plumbing and firefighting systems.

  • Review measurements, quantities, and contractor bills.

  • Identify and resolve technical/site issues in coordination with consultants and contractors.

  • Ensure compliance with NBC, applicable fire safety norms, statutory requirements, and project HSE standards.

Desired Skills

  • Strong experience in plumbing & firefighting execution for commercial / IT Park projects.

  • Good knowledge of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pumps, water supply, drainage, sewage, and storm-water systems.

  • Strong understanding of MEP drawings, BOQ, specifications, and testing & commissioning.

  • Excellent contractor and consultant management skills.

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience in large-scale commercial / Grade-A IT Park projects will be preferred.
