Role Overview
The General Manager – Projects (Engineering) will be responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of large-scale commercial- IT parks, Baner - Pune.

The role demands strategic leadership, deep engineering expertise, and a proven track record in managing multi-stakeholder environments. The incumbent will ensure that projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in full compliance with K Raheja Corp’s stringent quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Oversee complete project lifecycle management—from design finalization to construction, commissioning, and handover.

Develop detailed project schedules, construction methodologies, and resource allocation plans.

Ensure timely delivery of projects within approved budgets and quality benchmarks.

Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, and engineering teams for design validation and constructability reviews.

Engineering & Design Coordination

Review structural, civil, and MEP designs to ensure integration, cost-efficiency, and technical soundness.

Implement value engineering solutions to enhance functionality and reduce lifecycle costs.

Ensure incorporation of smart building technologies and sustainable design principles.

Oversee MEP integration for large commercial developments (HVAC, electrical systems, fire safety, BMS, etc.).

Commercial Project Execution

Manage complex commercial developments including Grade-A office spaces, IT parks, shopping malls, and hospitality properties.

Coordinate specialized systems such as façade engineering, large-span structures, HVAC plants, escalators/elevators, and building automation systems.

Ensure compliance with international standards for fire safety, green building norms (LEED/IGBC), and accessibility codes.

Liaise with hotel operator technical teams and retail anchor tenants during design and construction phases.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost optimization through efficient procurement and execution strategies.

Evaluate and control variations and change orders in alignment with approved budgets.

Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure transparency and fiscal discipline.

Contracts & Vendor Management

Oversee tendering, contractor selection, and contract administration processes.

Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure adherence to SLAs and delivery standards.

Conduct regular site and vendor performance reviews to ensure productivity and quality compliance.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering. A Postgraduate qualification in Construction/Project Management is preferred.

Experience:

Total: Minimum 18–25 years of professional experience in construction and project management.

Domain: At least 10+ years in commercial real estate, IT park, retail mall, or hospitality project execution for large developers or contracting firms.

Track Record: Successfully delivered Grade-A commercial or mixed-use developments.
