Assistant Manager – Billing

Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Billing will be responsible for managing contractor billing, client billing coordination, quantity verification, certification processes, and overall billing operations for commercial construction projects. The role ensures timely processing, accuracy, compliance with contract terms, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Handle contractor RA bills, verification, certification, and processing as per project progress.

Coordinate with site execution, QS, contracts, and finance teams for billing-related activities.

Verify quantities executed at site as per BOQ, drawings, and work orders.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of client bills and supporting documentation.

Monitor billing schedules, payment follow-ups, and reconciliation of bills.

Maintain records of work orders, variations, measurements, and billing documentation.

Review rate analysis, extra item claims, and change orders in coordination with contracts/QS teams.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms, taxation, and company billing procedures.

Prepare MIS reports related to billing status, outstanding payments, and project cash flow.

Support audits and provide required billing documentation and clarifications.

Coordinate with vendors and consultants for resolution of billing discrepancies.
Qualification & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.

6–10 years of experience in billing and quantity surveying for commercial construction projects.

Experience in IT parks, commercial towers, or large-scale mixed-use developments preferred.
Required Skills

Strong understanding of BOQ, billing procedures, and construction contracts.

Knowledge of measurement standards and project documentation.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP, and billing software.

Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines effectively.
