Executive - Structural Design

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design Coordination & Review: Coordinate with external structural design consultants, proof consultants, and architectural teams to review design schemes, structural drawings, and calculation sheets for high-rise residential and commercial developments.

• Code Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes), local municipal regulations (NBC, Development Control Regulations), and safety guidelines.

• Value Engineering: Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize concrete/steel quantities, foundations, and framing systems without compromising structural safety or functional performance.

• Site & Construction Liaison: Act as a technical bridge between the structural consultant and the project execution team at site to clarify site queries, manage Requests for Information (RFIs), and resolve structural design conflicts.

• Peer Review & Audit: Review structural drawings, structural audit reports, temporary work designs, and shop drawings provided by contractors and sub-vendors.

• Site Inspections: Conduct periodic site visits to audit structural execution (reinforcement placement, concrete casting quality, post-tensioning works) and ensure alignment with approved structural drawings.

• Documentation & Archiving: Maintain systematic records of structural design revisions, consultant deliverables, peer-review approvals, and statutory structural stability certificates.
